EDN is small, so a geoscientist here runs the equipment, interprets the results and writes the report — rather than doing one of those three for someone else.

Staff Geoscientist

Position involves the operation of packer testing equipment in the field for the purpose of formation evaluation, as well as the installation of multi-level groundwater monitoring and sampling systems. Office work includes data analysis, interpretation, and report writing.

Approximately 50–70% outdoor field work and travel throughout the United States.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in geology/hydrogeology, geophysics, environmental science or related field
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills, a strong work ethic, and proficiency with mechanical and electrical systems
  • Valid driver's license with superior driving record; must be insurable
  • Participation required in health and safety training, medical monitoring, and drug and alcohol testing
  • 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER safety training a plus

Compensation & benefits

Salary based on qualifications and experience. Benefits include medical insurance and retirement savings plan.
